Introduction
|
This e-portfolio has been created to showcase coursework and projects completed throughout my time in the Master of Science in Instructional Technology program at the University of Southern Mississippi. It is my goal to demonstrate the knowledge that I have gained in this degree program.
I will present artifacts that support the five standards created by the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE). These five standards were developed to aid teachers in designing learning experiences that engage students and improve learning through technology. |
About Me
My name is Barrett Taylor and I am currently a high school French teacher. I decided to enroll in the MSIT program because I have always had a passion for technology. This degree will allow me to pursue a career in educational technology where I will have the opportunity to help teachers with the skills I have honed during my time in this program. The most important thing that I have discovered through my studies of Instructional Technology is that learning never stops. New technologies are created everyday and in order to stay relevant, you have to stay current. I am excited about what the future holds and I know that I will be ready thanks to all that I have learned in the MSIT program.

Navigating the siteAt the top of the page you will find a horizontal navigation bar where you can access each of the five ISTE standards. Once a standard is selected, you will be able to read the standard and my personal reflection on it. I will also include artifacts I have created that I feel best represent the standard, as well as an explanation of my future learning goals. Thank you for taking the time to visit this site and please contact me with any questions you may have.
